We leave behind the city’s bustle and head west toward Lake Manyara National Park, a two-hour (130km) journey filled with Tanzania’s vibrant roadside life—expect to see Maasai herdsmen in colorful shukas guiding their livestock and locals going about their daily routines. As we drive, your guide will start revealing the fascinating stories behind Tanzania’s wildlife, landscapes, and cultures.

Afternoon: Lake Manyara National Park Safari

• Duration: ~5 hours (but with plenty to see along the way!)

• Keep your eyes peeled for cheetahs, leopards, and the famous Serengeti lions, lounging on the kopjes or lurking in the tall grass.

• If it’s migration season, expect to see endless herds of wildebeests & zebras on their epic journey across the plains.

Fun Fact: The Serengeti’s rocky outcrops, known as kopjes, served as inspiration for The Lion King’s Pride Rock!

Afternoon: Bush Picnic & More Game Viewing

Lunch: Forget fancy restaurants—our table is set in the middle of the Serengeti! Enjoy a delicious bush picnic while surrounded by the sights & sounds of nature.

Before saying goodbye to the Serengeti, we set off on one final morning game drive, exploring the Seronera region, where wildlife thrives thanks to the permanent waters of the Seronera River.

Drive: Serengeti ➝ Ngorongoro Crater (145km, ~3.5 hours)
After our morning safari, we fuel up with lunch in the bush, then start our drive towards the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
